Terms of Use

Last updated 8 September 2026

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Nordrift website at nordrift.dev and the applications we publish, including Volt. By using them, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use them.

Nordrift is based in Ireland. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Nordrift.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our applications on devices you own or control, for your own purposes.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute our applications. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law. You may not remove or alter any attribution or branding.

Accuracy of calculations

Volt performs engineering calculations. Results are provided for reference and are not a substitute for your own verification, engineering judgement, or applicable safety standards.

We take care that calculations are correct, but we do not warrant that any result is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. Verify results independently before relying on them in any circuit, product, or installation, particularly where safety, mains voltage, or regulatory compliance is involved.

You are responsible for how you use the outputs of our applications.

No warranty

Our website and applications are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our applications will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any particular device.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, equipment, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use our website or applications.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our website or applications at any time, without notice. We may update these terms; the current version is always at this address, with the date shown above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Intellectual property

The Nordrift name, the Volt name, our logos, and the content of our website and applications are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

Third-party services

Our applications are distributed through Google Play. Your use of Google Play is governed by Google's own terms, which are separate from these.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
